Garland Williams (Garland Hare Williams) was born on August 21, 1921 in Parkin, Arkansas. After going to high school at Forrest City (AR), Williams attended Duke University and the University of Georgia. Williams made his professional debut in the AAFC in 1947 with the Brooklyn Dodgers. He played for the Brooklyn Dodgers for his entire 2 year career.
