Freddy Parent (Frederick Alfred Parent) was born on November 25, 1875 in Biddeford, Maine. He made his Major League debut on July 14, 1899 for the St. Louis Perfectos. In 1901, his rookie year, he hit .306 with 4 home runs and 59 RBI. Parent played for the St. Louis Perfectos, Boston Americans and Chicago White Sox over the course of his 12 year career.

Most people believe that Freddy Parent's best season was 1903, when he hit for a .304 average and knocked in 80 runs.
