Fred Whittingham (Fred G. Whittingham) was born on February 4, 1939 in Boston, Massachusetts. After going to high school at Warwick (RI), Whittingham attended Brigham Young University and California Polytechnic State University at San Luis Obispo. Whittingham made his professional debut in the NFL in 1964 with the Los Angeles Rams. He played for the Philadelphia Eagles, New Orleans Saints, Boston Patriots, Dallas Cowboys and Los Angeles Rams over the course of his 7 year career.
Most people believe that 1966 was Fred Whittingham's best year.
