Born on February 2, 1927 in Benton, Mississippi, Fred Waters (Fred Warren Waters) played for the Pittsburgh Pirates for his entire 2 year career. Waters broke into the bigs on September 20, 1955 with the Pittsburgh Pirates, and put up a 2.82 ERA in 51 innings pitched in 1956, his rookie year.
