Fred Sweetland (Frederick G. Sweetland) in Everett, Massachusetts. After going to high school at Everett (MA), Sweetland attended Fordham University and Washington and Lee University. Sweetland made his professional debut in the APFA in 1920 with the Akron Pros. He played for the New York Giants and Akron Pros over the course of his 2 year career.
