Fred Sweet (Frederick Sweet) was born on August 17, 1901 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. After going to high school at West (Philadelphia, PA), Sweet attended Brown University. Sweet made his professional debut in the NFL in 1925 with the Providence Steam Roller. He played for the Providence Steam Roller for his entire 2 year career.
