Fred Marsh (Fred Francis Marsh) was born on January 5, 1924 in Valley Falls, Kansas. He made his Major League debut on April 19, 1949 for the St. Louis Browns. In 1951, his rookie year, he hit .243 with 4 home runs and 43 RBI. Marsh played for the St. Louis Browns, Washington Senators, Chicago White Sox and Baltimore Orioles over the course of his 6 year career.
