Fred Lane (Freddie Brown Lane, Jr.) was born on September 6, 1975 in Nashville, Tennessee. After going to high school at Franklin (TN), Lane attended Lane College. Lane made his professional debut in the NFL in 1997 with the Carolina Panthers. He played for the Carolina Panthers for his entire 3 year career.
Most people believe that 1997 was Fred Lane's best year, as he ran for 809 yards and ran in 7 TDs.
