Born on October 1, 1931 in Piqua, Kansas, Fred Kipp (Fred Leo Kipp) played for the Brooklyn Dodgers, Los Angeles Dodgers and New York Yankees over the course of his 4 year career. Kipp broke into the bigs on September 10, 1957 with the Brooklyn Dodgers, and put up a 5.01 ERA in 102.1 innings pitched in 1958, his rookie year.
