Fred King (Frederick James King) was born on June 3, 1913 in New York, New York. After going to high school at Frank H. Morrell (Irvington, NJ), King attended Hobart College. King made his professional debut in the NFL in 1937 with the Brooklyn Dodgers. He played for the Brooklyn Dodgers for his entire 1 year career.
