Fred Crolius (Frederick Joseph Crolius) was born on December 16, 1876 in Jersey City, New Jersey. He made his Major League debut on April 19, 1901 for the Boston Beaneaters. In 1901, his rookie year, he hit .240 with 1 home run and 13 RBI. Crolius played for the Boston Beaneaters and Pittsburgh Pirates over the course of his 2 year career.
