Fred Cardinal (Frederick Cardinal) was born on February 12, 1925 in Dover, Ohio. After going to high school at Massillon (OH), Cardinal attended Baldwin-Wallace University and the University of Notre Dame. Cardinal made his professional debut in the AAFC in 1947 with the New York Yankees. He played for the New York Yankees for his entire 1 year career.
