Fred Abel (Fred K. Abel) was born on July 17, 1903 in Lincoln, Nebraska. After going to high school at Montesanto (WA), Abel attended the University of Washington. Abel made his professional debut in the NFL in 1926 with the Milwaukee Badgers. He played for the Milwaukee Badgers for his entire 1 year career.
