Frankie Gustine (Frank William Gustine) was born on February 20, 1920 in Hoopeston, Illinois. He made his Major League debut on September 13, 1939 for the Pittsburgh Pirates. In 1940, his rookie year, he hit .281 with 1 home run and 55 RBI. Gustine played for the Pittsburgh Pirates, Chicago Cubs and St. Louis Browns over the course of his 12 year career.

Most people believe that Frankie Gustine's best season was 1947, when he hit for a .297 average and knocked in 67 runs.
