Frankie Frisch (Frank Francis Frisch) was born on September 9, 1898 in Bronx, New York. He made his Major League debut on June 14, 1919 for the New York Giants. In 1919, his rookie year, he hit .226 with 2 home runs and 24 RBI. Frisch played for the New York Giants and St. Louis Cardinals over the course of his 19 year career.

There is some disagreement on what was Frankie Frisch's most productive season. Some believe that it was 1923, when he stole 29 bases, hit for a .348 average and knocked in 111 runs. However, others believe that it was 1921, when he stole 49 bases, hit for a .341 average and knocked in 100 runs.
