Acquired:

Acquired in a trade from the Toronto Argonauts on December 18, 2007 in exchange for running back Anthony Davis.

2007:

Signed as a free agent with Toronto on June 10, 2007 ... Played in 16 games in his first season with the Argos, starting 14 at slotback...recorded 37 receptions for 614 yards and two touchdowns …Week 1, made his regular season CFL debut versus B.C. (28/06/07) and caught four passes for 38 yards…Week 7 (10/08/07), registered a career-high 7 receptions for 122 yards vs Saskatchewan…Week 9, recorded his first CFL touchdown (03/09/07) in Labour Day win at Hamilton…Week 10, led all receivers with 86 yards receiving on 2 catches in win over Hamilton…Week 11, led the club in receiving in addition to scoring his first ever CFL rushing touchdown (15/09/07) at B.C…Week 12, led the team in receiving, catching 3 passes for 83 yards, including an over-the-shoulder touchdown catch in win over Winnipeg

2006:

Signed as a free agent with the Miami Dolphins (NFL) on May 8…Remained with Dolphins all season but did not see any game action…Released by Miami on August 3.

2004:

Re-joined the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as a free agent on January 14…Played in three games with the Bucs as a backup receiver and special teams player before suffering a season-ending injury.

2003:

Attended training camp with Houston and released.

2002:

Released by Tampa Bay as a final training camp cut…Signed as a free agent with the Houston Texans (NFL) on November 27…Dressed in five games for the Texans as a backup receiver and kick returner…Recorded 8 special teams tackles and 1 kickoff return.

2001:

Dressed in 11 games for Tampa Bay, recording 8 catches for 71 yards and 1 touchdown…Led team with 20 kick returns for 445 yards and recorded two defensive tackles.

2000:

Drafted in the 6th round (170th overall) of the NFL Draft by the Chicago Bears…Released by Chicago on August 27…Signed a practice roster agreement with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers…Made NFL debut (03/12/00) with Tampa Bay and returned two kickoffs for 24 yards against Dallas.

Personal:

Frank is the son of Velma and Frank Sr. He was an All-American, All-State and Nassau County Player of the Year as a senior running back and return specialist at West Nassau High School. A business major, he founded the “Frank Murphy Foundation” which gives away toys and turkey over the holidays in Tampa and Jacksonville. Murphy also runs youth football camps in Florida and has founded his own real estate company called “Investor’s Outlet”.
