Frank Lewis (Frank Douglas Lewis) was born on July 4, 1947 in Houma, Louisiana. After going to high school at Southdown (Houma, LA), Lewis attended Grambling State University. Lewis made his professional debut in the NFL in 1971 with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He played for the Pittsburgh Steelers and Buffalo Bills over the course of his 13 year career.

Most people believe that 1981 was Frank Lewis's best year, as he hauled in 70 receptions, had 1244 receiving yards and caught 4 TD passes.
