Frank Cope (Francis W. Cope) was born on November 19, 1915 in Anaconda, Montana. After going to high school at Hayward (CA), Cope attended Santa Clara University. Cope made his professional debut in the NFL in 1938 with the New York Giants. He played for the New York Giants for his entire 10 year career.

Most people believe that 1946 was Frank Cope's best year, as he recovered 4 opponents fumbles.
