Felix Martinez (Felix (Mata) Martinez) was born on May 18, 1974 in Nagua, Sanchez (Dominican Republic). He made his Major League debut on September 3, 1997 for the Kansas City Royals. In 2000, his rookie year, he hit .214 with 2 home runs and 17 RBI. Martinez played for the Kansas City Royals and Tampa Bay Devil Rays over the course of his 5 year career.
