[edit] Biography

F.P. Santangelo (Frank-Paul Santangelo) was born on October 24, 1967 in Livonia, Michigan. He made his Major League debut on August 2, 1995 for the Montreal Expos. In 1996, his rookie year, he hit .277 with 7 home runs and 56 RBI. Santangelo played for the Montreal Expos, San Francisco Giants, Los Angeles Dodgers and Oakland Athletics over the course of his 7 year career.

Most people believe that F.P. Santangelo's best season was 1996, when he hit for a .277 average and knocked in 56 runs.

Santangelo was also one of the players named in baseball's Mitchell Report. According to the report, David Segui referred Santangelo to former Mets clubhouse attendant Kirk Radomski. Radomski claims that he sold one kit of HGH to Santangelo in 2000, and Deca-Durabolin and testosterone once or twice in 2001. Santangelo also referred Adam Piatt to Radomski in 2002 and apparently told Piatt that Radomski "will get you what you need." Santangelo's name, along with his address and two phone numbers, were in Radomski's seized address book.

Like many players, Santangelo declined to speak with investigators for the Mitchell Report.
