Ev Nelson (Everett Fritchof Nelson) was born on February 18, 1907 in Chicago, Illinois. After going to high school at New Tier Township (Winnetka, IL), Nelson attended the University of Illinois. Nelson made his professional debut in the NFL in 1929 with the Chicago Bears. He played for the Chicago Bears for his entire 1 year career.
