Estel Crabtree (Estel Crayton Crabtree) was born on August 19, 1903 in Crabtree, Ohio. He made his Major League debut on April 18, 1929 for the Cincinnati Reds. In 1931, his rookie year, he hit .269 with 4 home runs and 37 RBI. Crabtree played for the Cincinnati Reds and St. Louis Cardinals over the course of his 6 year career.
