Ernie Williamson (Ernest Warriner Williamson) was born on September 9, 1922 in Crewe, Virginia. Williamson attended Apprentice and the University of North Carolina. Williamson made his professional debut in the NFL in 1947 with the Washington Redskins. He played in the NFL for 2 years, playing for the New York Giants and Washington Redskins over the course of his 2 year NFL career.Williamson also played in the AAFC for 1 year, playing for the Los Angeles Dons the entire time.

Most people believe that 1947 was Ernie Williamson's best year.
