Eric Crabtree (Eric Leslie Crabtree) was born on November 3, 1944 in Monessen, Pennsylvania. After going to high school at Monessen (PA), Crabtree attended the University of Pittsburgh. Crabtree made his professional debut in the AFL in 1966 with the Denver Broncos. He played in the AFL for 4 years, playing for the Denver Broncos and Cincinnati Bengals over the course of his 4 year AFL career.Crabtree also played in the NFL for 2 years, playing for the New England Patriots and Cincinnati Bengals over the course of his 2 year NFL career.

Most people believe that 1969 was Eric Crabtree's best year, as he hauled in 40 receptions, had 855 receiving yards and caught 7 TD passes.
