Eddie Mayo (Edward Joseph Mayo) was born on April 15, 1910 in Holyoke, Massachusetts. He made his Major League debut on May 22, 1936 for the New York Giants. In 1936, his rookie year, he hit .199 with 1 home run and 8 RBI. Mayo played for the New York Giants, Boston Braves, Philadelphia Athletics and Detroit Tigers over the course of his 9 year career.

Most people believe that Eddie Mayo's best season was 1944, when he knocked in 63 runs.
