Ed Watson (Edward Louis Watson) was born on May 8, 1945 in Coushatta, Louisiana. After going to high school at Springville (Coushatta, LA), Watson attended Grambling State University. Watson made his professional debut in the AFL in 1969 with the Houston Oilers. He played for the Houston Oilers for his entire 1 year career.
