Ed Luther (Edward Augustine Luther) was born on January 2, 1957 in Gardena, California. After going to high school at St. Paul (Santa Fe Springs, CA), Luther attended San Jose State University. Luther made his professional debut in the NFL in 1980 with the San Diego Chargers. He played for the San Diego Chargers for his entire 5 year career.
Most people believe that 1983 was Ed Luther's best year.
