Ed Flanagan (Edward J. Flanagan) was born on September 15, 1861 in Lowell, Massachusetts. He made his Major League debut on April 16, 1887 for the Philadelphia Athletics. Flanagan played for the Philadelphia Athletics and Louisville Colonels over the course of his 2 year career.
