Ed Beverly (Edward Louis Beverly) was born on September 27, 1949 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. After going to high school at John Harris (Harriburg, PA), Beverly attended Arizona State University. Beverly made his professional debut in the NFL in 1973 with the San Francisco 49ers. He played for the San Francisco 49ers for his entire 1 year career.
