Earl Krieger (Earl Carlton Krieger) was born on August 30, 1896 in Columbus, Ohio. After going to high school at North (Columbus, OH), Krieger attended Ohio University. Krieger made his professional debut in the APFA in 1921 with the Detroit Tigers. He played in the APFA for 1 year, playing for the Detroit Tigers the entire time. Krieger also played in the NFL for 1 year, playing for the Columbus Panhandles the entire time.
