Earl Browne (Earl James Browne) was born on March 5, 1911 in Louisville, Kentucky. He made his Major League debut on September 12, 1935 for the Pittsburgh Pirates. In 1937, his rookie year, he hit .292 with 6 home runs and 52 RBI. Browne played for the Pittsburgh Pirates and Philadelphia Phillies over the course of his 4 year career.

Most people believe that Earl Browne's best season was 1937, when he hit for a .292 average and knocked in 52 runs.
