Durwood Keeton (Durwood Lee Keeton) was born on August 14, 1952 in Bonham, Texas. After going to high school at Bonham (TX), Keeton attended Navarro Junior College and the University of Oklahoma. Keeton made his professional debut in the NFL in 1975 with the New England Patriots. He played for the New England Patriots for his entire 1 year career.

He recovered a fumble by his teammate, Andy Johnson, in the Patriots 22-14 loss to the Miami Dolphins @ Schaefer Stadium on 09-28-75.
