Doyle Tackett (Doyle Lee Tackett) was born on August 23, 1923 in Hector, Arkansas. After going to high school at Atkins (AR), Tackett attended none. Tackett made his professional debut in the AAFC in 1946 with the Brooklyn Dodgers. He played for the Brooklyn Dodgers for his entire 3 year career.
Most people believe that 1946 was Doyle Tackett's best year.
