Born on September 21, 1975 in Sacramento, California, Doug Davis (Douglas P. Davis) played for the Texas Rangers, Toronto Blue Jays and Milwaukee Brewers over the course of his 8 year career. Davis broke into the bigs on August 9, 1999 with the Texas Rangers, and put up a 5.38 ERA in 98.2 innings pitched in 2000, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Doug Davis's best season was 2005, when he posted a 3.84 ERA, won 11 games and struck out 208 batters.
