Doug Strange (Joseph Douglas Strange) was born on April 13, 1964 in Greenville, South Carolina. He made his Major League debut on July 13, 1989 for the Detroit Tigers. In 1989, his rookie year, he hit .214 with 1 home run and 14 RBI. Strange played for the Detroit Tigers, Chicago Cubs, Texas Rangers, Seattle Mariners, Montreal Expos and Pittsburgh Pirates over the course of his 9 year career.

Most people believe that Doug Strange's best season was 1993, when he knocked in 60 runs.
