Doug Nettles (Gordon Douglas Nettles) was born on August 13, 1951 in Panama City, Florida. After going to high school at Rutherford (Panama City, FL), Nettles attended Vanderbilt Universtiy. Nettles made his professional debut in the NFL in 1974 with the Baltimore Colts. He played for the Baltimore Colts and New York Giants over the course of his 6 year career.
Most people believe that 1979 was Doug Nettles's best year.
