Doug Buffone (Douglas John Buffone) was born on June 27, 1944 in Yatesboro, Pennsylvania. After going to high school at Shannock Valley (PA), Buffone attended the University of Louisville. Buffone made his professional debut in the NFL in 1966 with the Chicago Bears. He played for the Chicago Bears for his entire 14 year career.

Most people believe that 1967 was Doug Buffone's best year, as he picked off 3 passes and ran back a fumble for a touchdown.
