Born on April 2, 1945 in Clio, Alabama, Don Sutton (Donald Howard Sutton) played for the Los Angeles Dodgers, Houston Astros, Milwaukee Brewers, Oakland Athletics and California Angels over the course of his 23 year career. Sutton broke into the bigs on April 14, 1966 with the Los Angeles Dodgers, and put up a 2.99 ERA in 225.2 innings pitched in 1966, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Don Sutton's best season was 1972, when he posted a 2.08 ERA, won 19 games and struck out 207 batters.
