Don Reece

Don Reece (Donald Miles Reece) was born on December 1, 1919 in Maysville, Missouri. After going to high school at Maysville (MO), Reece attended the University of Missouri. Reece made his professional debut in the AAFC in 1946 with the Miami Seahawks. He played for the Miami Seahawks for his entire 1 year career, which was ended due to a knee injury.
After his professional career, he became a successful farmer in DeKalb County, Maysville, MO. He also coached high school football at Grant City and Gower, Missouri. He became a much loved coach and was influential in many young men's lives. It might be noted that he was a very successful coach as well. He died of cancer in the 90's and is burried overlooking his old high school football field. A finer man never lived.
