Don Panciera (Donald Matthew Panciera) was born on June 23, 1927 in Westerly, Rhode Island. After going to high school at LaSalle Academy (Providence, RI), Panciera attended Boston College and the University of San Francisco. Panciera made his professional debut in the AAFC in 1949 with the New York Yankees. He played in the AAFC for 1 year, playing for the New York Yankees the entire time. Panciera also played in the NFL for 2 years, playing for the Chicago Cardinals and Detroit Lions over the course of his 2 year NFL career.

Most people believe that 1952 was Don Panciera's best year.
