Don Coffey (Donald Eugene Coffey) was born on August 18, 1939 in Burnsville, North Carolina. After going to high school at Morristown (TN), Coffey attended the University of Memphis. Coffey made his professional debut in the AFL in 1963 with the Denver Broncos. He played for the Denver Broncos for his entire 1 year career.
