Dixie Parsons (Edward Dixon Parsons) was born on May 12, 1916 in Talladega, Alabama. He made his Major League debut on August 16, 1939 for the Detroit Tigers. In 1942, his rookie year, he hit .197 with 2 home runs and 11 RBI. Parsons played for the Detroit Tigers for his entire 3 year career.
