Dick Woodard

Dick Woodard (Richard E. Woodard) was born on July 26, 1926 in Britt, Iowa. After going to high school at Fort Dodge (IA), Woodard attended the University of Iowa. Woodard made his professional debut in the AAFC in 1949 with the Los Angeles Dons. He played in the AAFC for 1 year, playing for the Los Angeles Dons the entire time. Woodard also played in the NFL for 4 years, playing for the New York Giants and Washington Redskins over the course of his 4 year NFL career.
Most people believe that 1949 was Dick Woodard's best year, as he ran back an interception for a touchdown.
