Dick Sturtridge (Richard Nelson Sturtridge) was born on March 8, 1904 in Vandergrift, Pennsylvania. After going to high school at Emerson (Gary, IN), Sturtridge attended Depauw University. Sturtridge made his professional debut in the NFL in 1928 with the Chicago Bears. He played for the Chicago Bears for his entire 2 year career.
