Derrick Shepard (Derrick Lathell Shepard) was born on January 22, 1964 in Odessa, Texas. After going to high school at Odessa (TX), Shepard attended the University of Oklahoma. Shepard made his professional debut in the NFL in 1987 with the Washington Redskins. He played for the Washington Redskins, Dallas Cowboys and New Orleans Saints over the course of his 5 year career.
Most people believe that 1989 was Derrick Shepard's best year, as he ran back a punt for a touchdown.
