Dennis Higgins
[edit] Biography
Born on August 4, 1939 in Jefferson City, Missouri, Dennis Higgins (Dennis Dean Higgins) played for the Chicago White Sox, Washington Senators, Cleveland Indians and St. Louis Cardinals over the course of his 7 year career. Higgins broke into the bigs on April 12, 1966 with the Chicago White Sox, and put up a 2.52 ERA in 93 innings pitched in 1966, his rookie year.
There is some disagreement on what was Dennis Higgins's most productive season. Some believe that it was 1969, when he posted a 3.48 ERA, won 10 games, notched 16 saves and struck out 71 batters. However, others believe that it was 1966, when he posted a 2.52 ERA and struck out 86 batters.
