Dear Barry,
You don't know me, nor will you ever know who I am. I'm just an ordinary sports fan, who happens to also be a huge baseball fan. Tonight, I witnessed you shatter the greatest record in all of sports, the All-Time Home Run record.
All I can say to that is, congratulations. Enjoy it, cherish it, do whatever. The point I can make about this is, I don't care.
If you want to stay arond and get 3,000 hits, go for it. For all I care, you can get 800 home runs and 4,000 hits. That will certainly get you into the Hall of Fame, how could they turn you away?
Once again though, I don't care, nor will I ever. The way I see it, it's all over. Who are you going to chase, Sadaharu Oh?
Why don't I care? Because you allegedly cheated in the game of baseball, America's Pastime. I think you're guilty. I think you lie when you say you never knowingly took steroids. Can I prove it, no.But I won't waste my time, like Bud Selig and George Mitchell.
You've never shown respect to your team, the media, but most importantly, the fans, the same ones who dish out hundreds of dollars just to see you swing a bat.
In conclusion, I'm done talking and caring about you, Barry. It's over, like a divorce that is finally settled. Never will I write about you in any posting or article. You are not worth all the ink. Consider this a farewell, Barry.
Have a nice life,
Nos
