Born on June 23, 1920 in Chicago, Illinois, Deacon Donahue (John Stephen Michael Donahue) played for the Philadelphia Phillies for his entire 2 year career. Donahue broke into the bigs on September 16, 1943 with the Philadelphia Phillies.
