David DeJesus (David Christopher DeJesus) was born on December 20, 1979 in Brooklyn, New York. He made his Major League debut on September 2, 2003 for the Kansas City Royals. In 2004, his rookie year, he hit .287 with 7 home runs and 39 RBI. DeJesus played for the Kansas City Royals for his entire 4 year career.
Most people believe that David DeJesus's best season was 2006, when he hit for a .295 average and knocked in 56 runs.
