Dave Olerich (David Byron Olerich) was born on November 14, 1944 in Elmhurst, Illinois. After going to high school at Menlo-Atherton (Atherton, CA), Olerich attended the University of San Francisco. Olerich made his professional debut in the NFL in 1967 with the San Francisco 49ers. He played for the San Francisco 49ers, St. Louis Cardinals and Houston Oilers over the course of his 7 year career.

Most people believe that 1971 was Dave Olerich's best year.
